“A good friend of mine is in a wheelchair and can’t walk. Another friend has such pain in his knees that he can’t walk up and down stairs. So I walk for them. When I breathe in, I say to myself, “It’s wonderful that I am still able to walk like this.” With that awareness, I can enjoy every step. I say, “I am alive!” Mindfulness reminds me to notice and enjoy that my body is alive and strong enough for me to walk.”

Polarity Therapy Zodiac & Anatomy Correspondences

thequeenofsunflowers:

First: What is Polarity Therapy?

Polarity Therapy is an energywork modality that helps the body heal itself. It’s a practice that views the body in three ways: physical, mind, and soul that are all unified and acting as one unit. When they are out of sync and we lack awareness, it can bring illness. It usually starts in the energy body (or mind body), and eventually manifests in the physical body. (This theory is not applicable to every illness or disease, but it does show a pattern that exists mainly in minor illnesses.)

It’s a practice that’s based in nature, and all of the references, charts, and applications are related to the Earth, especially in relation to the elements: Air, Water, Fire, Earth, and Ether (space). and each of these elements has a specific energy.

Fire is very quick,
Air is a little slower,
Water is slower,
and Earth is the slowest.
Ether is neutral and restores balance.

The energy centers are like lining up negative/positive currents on a car battery.

I think the easiest way to introduce the Zodiac to this picture is to talk about Reflexology, which is a sub-division of Polarity Therapy (there are many different variations of Reflexology, but the massage school I went to taught it as a chapter of Polarity Therapy) that focuses on the feet. Randolph Stone (and other healing art practitioners in different subjects) believe that there are maps of the body on body parts themselves (e.g. the stomach, the eye, the hand, the top of the head, etc). It’s like geography of you on your own body. Different parts of the foot correspond to different body parts.

image

If you look at the chart above, the plantar side of your foot (meaning, the underside of your foot) reflects your entire body as a whole, starting at your big toe and ending at your heel. The big toe reflects your head, the back edge of your heel represents your butt. (The arms and legs aren’t included in this map. I don’t know why. I’ll have to get back to you. I think it’s cause they’re reflected in other body parts, but I didn’t learn this in school.)

The Zodiac signs (and cardinal elements) are metaphors for certain body parts, much like how the Reflexology map shows you where in the foot corresponds with the body.

It’s pretty intuitive if you understand the pattern of the Reflexology map and the elements.

Aries - Fire - Head (Aries is the first Zodiac sign)
Taurus - Earth - Neck
Gemini - Air - Shoulders/Lungs (Gemini are the Twins, we have two shoulders and right & left lungs)
Cancer - Water - Breast/Chest
Leo - Fire - Solar Plexus
Virgo - Earth - Intestines/GI Tract
Libra - Air - Kidneys (Libras are the Scales and we have two kidneys)
Scorpio - Water - Hips/Genitals
Sagittarius - Fire - Thighs (Bow and Arrow)
Capricorn - Earth - Knees
Aquarius - Air - Ankles
Pisces - Water - Feet (Pisces are two fish, we have two feet)

Do you see the pattern of fire, earth, air, water?

When you combine the elements together, (e.g., working on all the fire parts of the body together — Head, Solar Plexus, and Thighs) you can move energy around the body and activate energies that may be low. It can create balance that needs to be restored.

(Polarity therapy is based on a series of research conducted by Dr. Randolph Stone stemming out of osteopathy and other naturopathic modalities. It’s based on the medicines we had before allopathy (modern, conventional medicine) came around starting in the 19th century. Do not use anything from this post as a replacement for health care. These treatments are just treatments, and not cures, and are only helpful in supplemental fashion to allopathic care in serious circumstances. If you have a medical condition, seek allopathic care before trying naturopathic treatments. Naturopathy should only be used supplementally to medical care.)

This may not make a lot of sense, but I tried. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

If this made you scrambled, ultimately all you need to know is:
